Job summary

AIG is seeking a Senior Manager, Reinsurance Accounting in Wilton, CT or Parsippany, NJ to lead financial and operational controlling for complex external reinsurance programs. You will oversee the accounting, reporting and controls for reinsurance arrangements and collaborate with offshore resources to optimize results.

The role requires strong re/insurance technical knowledge, the ability to drive process improvements, and effective communication with Finance and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA preferred or relevant designation is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a controller capacity for a public P&C insurer.
• Strong accounting expertise linking balance sheet to income statement within reinsurance context.

Responsibilities

• Manage key accounting and operational controlling requirements for external reinsurance programs.
• Coordinate with Reinsurance Collection on billing and statements of accounts.
• Prepare program summaries for leadership reviews.
