Valley Bank in Morristown, NJ, seeks a Senior Compliance Officer - Advisory to serve as a trusted advisor on regulatory matters affecting bank products and processes. You will lead risk assessments, monitoring efforts, and advisory engagements, partnering with risk, legal, audit, and business lines to sustain a strong culture of compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with 5+ years of regulatory compliance experience.
• The CRCM certification (ABA) is required.
• Familiar with consumer banking regulations relevant to commercial deposits and lending.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to document advisory positions clearly.
• Ability to analyze compliance problems and provide risk-based solutions.
• Ability to conduct independent research and communicate findings.
• Ability to manage advisory engagements and projects balancing multiple requests.

Responsabilités

• Serve as compliance advisor and strategic partner, providing risk-based guidance across products and activities.
• Provide regulatory interpretations and advisory on federal/state banking laws and regulations.
• Review customer-facing marketing materials for regulatory accuracy and disclosures.
• Conduct Compliance Risk Assessments and Monitoring with metrics and dashboards.
• Support compliance testing and remediation planning with business partners.
• Engage in committee work (e.g., IGT Committee, AI Governance) as needed.
• Maintain relationships with risk, legal, audit, and compliance stakeholders.
