Job summary

KDG Construction Consulting seeks a detail-oriented Senior Regional Construction Scheduler to support the Los Angeles Unified School District in California. You will lead schedule assessments, review CPM baselines, and coordinate with senior managers to meet milestones.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering/construction management or related fields, 10+ years of scheduling for Owners or GCs, and expertise in Primavera P6 (latest) and MS Office. Salary range is competitive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
• OR a bachelor’s degree in any field with an additional two to four years of relevant experience.
• Minimum ten years of full-time paid professional experience in Construction Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably educational/public works.
• Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version (P6 v19) and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Senior Construction Manager of Scheduling and Estimating and prepare schedule reports for upper management.
• Supervise Project Schedulers to ensure timelines are met and interface with OARs,Senior PMs and site staff for CPM schedules.
• Interpret and read detailed construction drawings to understand work scope.
• Review P6 baseline schedules, identify gaps, logic, milestones, and cost loading; provide written comments.
• Review monthly updates and document schedule slippage and critical path changes.
• Perform Time Impact Analysis using Windows Analysis with schedule parameters.
• Read drawings to determine in- or out-of-scope work and assess time-extension merits.
• Communicate schedule/progress issues in regular meetings.
• Develop, maintain, and update program schedules with relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints.
• Perform status updates for Master Schedules; ensure data integrity and use of standard codes.
• Prepare reports for Senior Management and visit sites/meetings as needed.

Job description

KDG Construction Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Regional Construction Scheduler to join our team supporting the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).

Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Senior Construction Manager of Scheduling and Estimating. Provide various schedule-related reports for upper management to meet Key Performance Milestones.
• Assist in the supervision of Project Schedulers to ensure project timelines are met and interface with OARs, Senior Project Managers and other site staff related to the review of CPM schedules.
• Independently interpret and read detailed construction drawings (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, etc.) and develop a clear understanding of work scope.
• Review Contractor P6 initial Baseline Construction Schedules and identify any missing scope, identify any missing logic or milestones, identify and analyze the critical path, review the required cost loading, and be able to provide written technical schedule review comments based on LAUSD's structured review templates.
• Review multiple Contractor P6 Monthly schedule updates and provide written schedule review comments that document milestone schedule slippage, critical path activity slippage, and provide over-all schedule analysis based on LAUSD's structured review templates.
• Perform schedule Time Impact Analysis by using the method of Windows Analysis while incorporating either contemporaneous and/or forensic schedule parameters in a detailed write-up.
• Read drawings to determine if work is in or out of scope and understand terms and conditions of the contract to determine if any compensable or non-compensable time extensions have merit.
• Effectively communicate with the project team regarding any schedule/progress related issues or concerns at regular schedule meetings.
• Develop, maintain, and update various program schedules identifying relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for construction projects.
• Perform status updates for Program Schedules/Master Schedules on a regular basis.
• Ensure proper use of Program-level standard codes, layouts and reports necessary to ensure data integrity
• Prepare reports as needed and directed by Senior Management. Visit construction sites and attend meetings, as needed, and check the Contractor's monthly schedule progress.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or any related field.
• OR
• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in any course, but with an additional two (4) years of experience in the duties above to compensate for the required education.
• Minimum ten (10) years full time paid professional experience in Construction Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably in an educational facility or public works projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version (P6 v19) and MS Office Suite

Anticipated Salary Range: $160,000.00 – $1850,000.00 per year
