Job summary

Kalos Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Pipefitter to install and maintain complex refrigeration systems for commercial and industrial clients across North Florida and GA.

The role focuses on copper pipework, brazing, purging, and system integrity, with travel and overnight stays as needed. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of pipefitting experience in commercial refrigeration, strong blueprint reading skills, and EPA regulations familiarity.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Pipefitter in commercial refrigeration.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Deep understanding of refrigeration systems and copper pipework for rack systems.
• Mastery of brazing techniques using oxyacetylene torch; purging nitrogen; pressure testing circuits.
• Familiarity with refrigerant handling and EPA regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in varied environments with physical stamina.
• Certifications listed (EPA Universal, OSHA 10, Scissor Lift, Forklift, Rigging & Signaling) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan pipe layout and installation.
• Evaluate copper line runs for various systems including ACR copper, glycol, and CO2 systems.
• Install hangers and saddles; measure and cut pipes and tubing to required lengths.
• Perform nitrogen purging and flowing to ensure system cleanliness.
• Braze refrigeration line sets and components into place; ensure insulation and sealing.
• Inspect and troubleshoot systems; handle refrigerants per EPA regulations.
• Maintain records of work performed and coordinate with other trades.
