Job summary

Community Counseling of Bristol County in Taunton, MA is seeking a full-time Senior Reentry Navigator for the BH-JI program. You will manage a caseload of justice-involved clients and supervise BH-JI staff while coordinating with the Program Director to support transitions to healthy, stable lives.

The role requires collaboration with hospitals, crisis intervention, and developing connections to housing, income support, and community resources to meet complex behavioral health and medical needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related human services field and/or language ability.
• At least three years of human services experience, including two years with adult mentally ill population with dual diagnosis and addiction.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal and computer skills.
• Valid MA driver's license and satisfactory driving record; CORI process completion.
• Computer literacy related to the position.
• Flexibility with hours to meet needs of enrolled individuals, natural supports and BH-JI program.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Triage crisis situations and provide crisis interventions.
• Assist with hiring, orientation and training of staff.
• Represent CCBC at meetings and committees.
• Develop and manage affiliations with hospitals and facilities, overseeing BH-JI staff.
• Ensure daily assignments are delegated and completed.
• Provide ongoing supervision to BH-JI Re-Entry Navigators.
• Manage caseloads and help clients attain housing, income, food and community supports.
• Other duties as assigned by agency and Program Director.

Description of Position

Community Counseling of Bristol County is seeking a full-time Senior Reentry Navigator for the BH-JI program. The BH-JI program provides care management and reentry navigation services for individuals who are involved in the justice system. Individuals will work with our team on transitioning into living a safe and productive lifestyle suited to their needs. A BH-JI Senior Navigator works with and manages a caseload of clients who have been enrolled in BH-JI, engaging them and assisting them to reach goals associated with improved health and mental health/substance abuse treatment. In addition to their caseload, a Senior Navigator will provide direct supervision to staff and will oversee, manage and provide ongoing consultation to supervisees and their assigned cases. The Senior Navigator will also be required to assist the Program Director, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, orientation and training of staff.
• Triage crisis situations and assist in enacting crisis interventions.
• Represent CCBC at various meetings and/or committees.
• Develop and manage existing and new affiliations with hospitals and other inpatient facilities, including oversight of assigned BH-JI staff.
• Ensure delegation and completion of staff’s daily assignments.
• Provide ongoing supervision to BH-JI Re-Entry Navigators.
• Manage and maintain a caseload of clients and assists enrolled individuals to formulate reasonable and appropriate goals, focused on meeting behavioral health/substance abuse and medical needs, as well as social needs such as obtaining and stabilizing housing, income, food, and community and natural supports relevant to the clients’ needs.
• Other duties as defined by agency and Program Director.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related human services field and/or language ability.
• Must have at least three years of human services related experience, of which at least two years experience has been with the adult mentally ill population including dual diagnosis with addiction.
• Must possess good organizational skills, effective written, verbal and computer skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of residence and submit a copy of satisfactory record of driving from the state of residence of registry of motor vehicles;
• Must complete MA and ADP Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) process;
• Must have computer literacy as related to the requirements of the position;
• Must be flexible with hours to meet needs of Enrolled Individuals, Natural Supports, and BH-JI Program.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
