Job summary

Google Cloud, Mandiant is seeking a security assessment professional to advise on technical and process-based controls. You will conduct adversarial emulation of cyberattacks across diverse environments and help expand the team’s capabilities through tool creation, research, internal presentations, and knowledge sharing.

The role is part of Google Cloud, Mandiant, with a US salary range of $138000–$200000, plus a 15% target bonus, equity, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with engagement testing and red teaming functions including network, web application, mobile, cloud, social engineering, scripting, or tool development.
• Experience with tools used for wireless, web application, and network security testing.
• Ability to travel up to 30% as required.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to work with internal partners and customer teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform Red and Purple Team assessments, assumed breach assessments (e.g., Red Team engagements with a pre-deployed implant), ransomware readiness reviews (e.g., assessing susceptibility to modern ransomware threats), threat analysis, and social engineering assessments.
• Conduct external and internal wireless assessments, web and mobile application testing, and embedded system assessments.
• Recognize and utilize attacker tools, tactics, and procedures.

Minimum qualifications

• Experience with implementing or assessing information security implementation or assessing security controls.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop documentation and explain technical details.
