Enhance Quality of Life for Older Adults

Base Pay: $35/hr - $40/hr + Full Time Benefits

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Recreational Therapist to develop and lead therapeutic recreation programs for older adults within a PACE environment. This role is responsible for assessing participant needs, creating individualized recreation plans, coordinating activities, and fostering a welcoming, engaging community atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to determine participant needs, preferences, and goals
• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic recreation plans
• Coordinate and lead daily recreational and social activities
• Plan and oversee group programs, individual activities, and community outings
• Participate as an active member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT)
• Monitor participant engagement and report changes in condition to the care team
• Document assessments, progress notes, and care plans in the electronic health record
• Build relationships with community organizations and coordinate special events, classes, and performances
• Supervise recreation aides and volunteers
• Promote a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for participants
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and team meetings
• Provide services in-person, via telehealth, or by telephone as appropriate
• Utilize Epic efficiently and support workflow improvements
• Participate in after-hours on-call coverage as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreational Therapy from an accredited institution
• OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation with a specialization in Therapeutic Recreation
• Current BLS Certification
• Current First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of recreational and social programming for older adults
• Fluency in English or Cantonese or Chinese (spoken, written, and reading)
