Job summary

Trantor is seeking a Senior Solutions Forward Deployed Engineer to lead complex SingleStore engagements, architect real-time data systems, and mentor a small FDE team. You will embed with customers to drive migrations, tuning, and high-availability deployments.

This hybrid role blends hands-on engineering with leadership: you own delivery quality, shape processes, and work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software/data engineering or architect roles with customer focus.
• 2+ years leading engineers or technical teams.
• Deep SQL skills with distributed databases (SingleStore, Snowflake, Vertica, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience leading migrations (schema/data conversion, validation, cutover).
• Strong performance tuning for large-scale, high-concurrency systems.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM tooling in engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship for our most complex customer engagements from kickoff to go-live.
• Architect SingleStore implementations addressing real-time analytics and HTAP workloads, and write production-grade code alongside customer engineers.
• Lead migrations from legacy databases, including schema conversion and cutover planning.
• Design schemas and tuning strategies for large-scale workloads.
• Provide deep query tuning and performance optimization guidance across engagements.
• Evaluate AI-assisted tooling and advise on AI/RAG integration for customers.
