Job summary

First American is seeking an experienced title underwriter to support the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies. You will work across Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, applying underwriting standards and guiding settlement services.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of title underwriting experience, familiarity with real estate law, and strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5-7 years title underwriting experience.
• Familiar with real estate law and title/settlement processes.
• Strong knowledge of real estate regulations (federal/state).
• Underwriting real estate transactions for title insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization for title insurance commitments and policies.
• Apply underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority.
• Guide personnel in real estate settlement services.
• Issue underwriting standards and guidelines per established processes.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
