Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MAI designation coursework or equivalent preferred.
• Must be a state Certified General Appraiser.
• 10+ years of appraisal experience, with at least 3 years in a lending institution preferred.
• Broad expertise across office, retail, industrial, multifamily and special purpose properties.

Responsibilities

• Perform critical reviews of externally prepared commercial appraisals to ensure credible value conclusions and compliance with requirements.
• Manage review process on single assets and portfolios; lead a team of review appraisers and coordinate with lenders.
• Contract with vendors; manage delivery timelines and quality; track assignments on a centralized system.
• Lead ad hoc teams for due diligence, market studies, and market intelligence to lenders on specific deals.
• Resolve issues not compliant with Citi policies or unreasonable conclusions.
• Advise risk managers on complex real estate issues with balanced risk perspectives.
• Work with a wide variety of property types across the US, from single assets to large portfolios.
