Upbound Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on our Mobile App team in Plano, TX.

You will lead hands-on React Native development, build scalable mobile features, and collaborate across product, design, and backend groups to deliver high-quality customer experiences. You will own end-to-end feature delivery, enforce engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers while working with offshore partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a primary focus on mobile applications.
• Hands-on expertise in React Native cross-platform mobile development.
• Proven track record building and supporting high-performance, scalable e-commerce mobile architectures.
• Strong proficiency with Git workflows, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD mobile deployment pipelines.
• Full-time, on-site role requiring 5 days per week in the Plano, TX office.

Responsibilities

• Direct Hands-On Development & Performance: Write high-quality React Native code; optimize speed, stability, and security across mobile platforms.
• Architecture & End-to-End Ownership: Own feature modules from design to deployment and maintenance, integrate with backend APIs.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI, and backend engineers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Quality & Technical Alignment: Conduct code reviews; work with offshore developers; maintain CI/CD automation and code quality.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Serve as escalation point for complex issues; diagnose production bugs and bottlenecks.
• Technical Mentorship: Mentor mid-level engineers; promote modern mobile development practices and knowledge transfer.
