Job summary

Boats Group is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) in Miami to own a long-lived RN codebase, focusing on architecture, performance, and developer experience. You will shape shared components, manage state, handle offline scenarios, and integrate with native iOS/Android where needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/related field or equivalent experience developing complex consumer mobile apps.
• Experience with React Native, preferably with new architecture and TanStack Query.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.
• Solid experience with Redux or similar state management tools.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Understanding CI/CD with Github Actions.
• Experience publishing React Native apps to stores.
• Knowledge of RESTful and RPC services and JSON payloads.
• Understanding of agile software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production-grade React Native apps used by a large real-world audience.
• Drive adoption of modern React Native capabilities and performance improvements.
• Architect reusable components and modular app structure.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, and architecture partners.
• Help define mobile engineering standards, patterns, and long-term direction.
• Mentor engineers via code reviews and leadership.
