Job summary

The DC Government in Washington, DC seeks a Senior React JS Developer to design, develop and test modern web applications using React JS, focusing on delivering scalable UI components.

You will integrate designs, optimize for cross‑browser compatibility, and collaborate with enterprise teams to implement RESTful APIs and agile processes.

Candidates should have strong ReactJS, NodeJS and RXJS experience, plus a bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with React-UI framework (React.js).
• 3+ years ReactJS, RXJS, NodeJS, ES6/5.
• Knowledge of REST/API integration and Agile methods.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test using React JS technologies from development to production.
• Integrate designs and wireframes within the app code.
• Write interface code with JavaScript and translate designs into quality code.
• Optimize components for cross-browser and devices.
• Develop responsive UI and support ecosystem for the organization.
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support.
• May coordinate activities of application developers.
