Modern Railway Systems in Denver seeks a Senior Signal Engineer to plan, design, and deliver rail transit signal systems from concept through construction support. You will lead multi-disciplinary design teams, develop test plans, and ensure safety and standards compliance while engaging clients and internal stakeholders. A deep expertise in signaling is essential, with mentorship for junior engineers and scheduling/budget responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Design & review of detailed signal hardware and logic designs.
• Lead design teams for railroad signal systems and coordinate with drafting/CAD.
• Prepare and review test procedures, power calculations, and interlocking logic.
• Ability to read specifications and contract drawings; strong writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design & review signal hardware, logic, interlocking and cabling plans.
• Support testing/commissioning and issue resolution in the field.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure safety standards compliance and conduct meetings/trainings as needed.
