Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Modesto, CA to perform radiographic imaging and support physicians in diagnosis. You will operate imaging equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality images while following safety protocols.

Responsibilities include assisting radiologists with fluoroscopy where permitted, preparing images for review, and maintaining records. Requires ARRT certification, CA fluoroscopy and venipuncture credentials, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Two years CT experience or one year in a specialty with ARRT Certification.
• California Fluoroscopy Certificate required.
• Venipuncture Certificate required in CA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiology procedures (CT preferred).
• Explains procedures to patients to ease anxiety and gain cooperation.
• Prepares and positions patients for imaging procedures.
• Applies immobilization devices for optimum views.
• Determines exposure factors based on patient size and region imaged; positions equipment accordingly.
• Operates radiologic equipment in OR, ER, or bedside settings.
• Assists radiologists with fluoroscopy where permitted by CA DHS RHB permit.
• Prepares images for radiologist review and ensures proper identification and quality.
• Performs routine maintenance and coordinates repairs as needed.
• Adheres to radiation protection practices to minimize exposure.
