Job description

We're supporting a very exciting space technology company that is developing next-generation spacecraft designed to perform some of the most challenging missions in orbit. They're looking to bring on an experienced Senior RF Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team on an initial contract basis.

This role is perfect if you enjoy working at the intersection of hardware, communications, and mission operations, helping to develop RF systems that support advanced spacecraft communications and on-orbit activities.

Role Responsibilities

• Designing and developing RF communications systems for spacecraft applications
• Architecting space-to-ground and space-to-space communications solutions
• Performing RF analysis, system trades, and performance evaluations
• Supporting antenna, transceiver, and communications subsystem integration activities
• Working closely with avionics, flight software, mission operations, and systems engineering teams
• Participating in testing, validation, troubleshooting, and mission readiness activities
• Contributing to communications architecture decisions and future mission concepts

Key Requirements

• Strong RF engineering experience within aerospace, satellite communications, defense, or related industries
• Experience with RF communications system design, integration, and testing
• Knowledge of antenna systems, transceivers, and communications architectures
• Experience working with TT&C systems, SATCOM, or mission-critical communications infrastructure
• Hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting experience across complex RF systems
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams

Strongly Desired Skills

• Spacecraft or satellite communications experience
• Experience with space-to-space or space-to-ground communications systems
• Knowledge of inter-satellite links and on-orbit communications concepts
• Experience supporting spacecraft integration, environmental testing, or mission operations

The client operates a hybrid working model and would ideally like engineers who can spend regular time onsite (Denver) with the wider engineering team. The position is initially offered as a long-term contract with strong potential for extension and future permanent opportunities.
