South Shore Health is seeking a Senior or Staff Radiation Therapist for our Dana-Farber Brigham & Women's Cancer Center in Weymouth, MA. This position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
• Perform daily maintenance and quality assurance on equipment.
• Maintain departmental supplies inventory.
• Provide patient and family education to ensure compliance and understanding of care plans.
• Monitor patient responses and refer for management as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality, modesty, and privacy of patients.
• Accurately administer treatments, monitor reactions, and document procedures.
• Operate and understand the function of treatment equipment and protocols.
• Participate in developing new techniques and resolving clinical issues.
• Engage in quality assurance programs and continuous education.
• Instruct and orient new staff and students.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development activities.
• Participate in clinical instruction and evaluation of students.
• Other duties as assigned.

Technology and Learning

• Participate in ongoing learning and adopt new technologies.
• Proficient in Radiation Oncology systems including ARIA, BICS, LMR, ExacTrac, BrainLab, and Eclipse.
• Maintain effective professional relationships and demonstrate strong communication skills.
• Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association.
• Radiation Therapy License/Registration/Certification as required by MA and ARRT.
