MemorialCare is seeking a Radiation Physicist at Orange Coast Medical Center in Fountain Valley, CA to ensure the safe and accurate use of therapeutic radiation for cancer patients. The role requires collaboration with physicians, dosimetrists, therapists, and the broader team to ensure high-quality treatment planning, dose delivery, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in radiation therapy physics.
• Experience with machine quality assurance, treatment planning support, chart checks, and radiation safety principles.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Medical Physics required.
• ABR or ABMP certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform and document QA testing of radiation therapy equipment per guidelines.
• Review and validate patient treatment plans for accuracy and safety.
• Support treatment planning including 3D Conformal, IMRT, IGRT, SRS/SBRT, HDR brachytherapy.
• Perform dosimetric measurements, machine calibration checks, and chart reviews.
• Support radiation safety programs and regulatory compliance (Title 17, Joint Commission).
• Assist with regulatory surveys, audits, and accreditation activities.
