Job summary

HigherEchelon, Inc. seeks a Senior Radar Engineer to join the STARS OSM team in Huntsville, AL. You will perform radar systems analysis, refine real-time algorithms, and document results for briefings to leadership.

You will develop MATLAB and Python analysis tools, guide junior engineers, and work daily on-site with a government customer on a multi-contractor team. A Secret clearance or interim clearance is required, with a BS and substantial related experience as listed.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 9+ years of experience.
• Four additional years may substitute for a degree.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance.

Senior Radar Engineer – STARS OSM

Location: Huntsville, AL

Description:

Seeking a Senior Radar Engineer to join the STARS OSM Software Development Team providing MDS Sensor modeling to support warfighter training and exercises.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

Perform radar systems analysis, deep dive into customer-noted issues through root cause identification and resolution, simplify tactical radar algorithms to representative effects that can function in real-time, and document results for technical briefings to end-users and project leadership.

Developing analysis tools through MATLAB / Python and helping to guide more junior team members to ensure a consistent framework/interoperability of developed analysis tools.

Working daily on-site at a government customer facility on a multi-contractor team and interacting regularly with industry partners and the government customer.

Required Skills:

Proven experience working with radar systems, simulations, and electronic warfare, preferably within the defense sector.

Familiarity with compiled software languages such as C/C , and competence in a broad array of radar topics such as detection theory, tracking, waveform scheduling, and object classification.

Position requires strong analysis skills, including analysis experience using MATLAB or Python.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Must have an Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance

Desired Skills:

Experience with modeling & simulation of radar systems

Experience working with radar systems, simulations, and electronic warfare, preferably within the defense sector.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and nine (9) years or more experience; four (4) years of additional experience considered in lieu of degree.
