Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to join our local stores team in Ankeny, IA. You will repair and maintain refrigeration and HVAC equipment, lead safety-compliant work, and support store operations.

This role requires extensive hands-on experience with large-scale rack refrigeration, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and a valid driver's license. Join a dynamic retail environment with opportunities for training, advancement, and performance-based

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and tools.
• Use work order system to receive and document repair work orders.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment safely.
• Adhere to OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety policy.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights regularly.
