Baker Hughes seeks an experienced R&D Optical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced optical and electro-optical systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure performance, cost effectiveness, and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle.

The role requires a strong background in optical modeling (MTF, FOV), hands-on Zemax/Code V experience, and CCD/CMOS imaging familiarity, with on-site work at the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in design and development of optical products.
• Strong optical modeling experience (MTF, FOV, alignment).
• Hands-on experience with Code V and/or Zemax.
• Experience with CCD/CMOS imaging systems.
• Onsite work at Skaneateles, NY facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and validation of optical and electro-optical systems.
