Job summary

Flux Resources seeks a Senior Tech R&D Facilities/Lab Planner to join its Advanced Technology team. The role focuses on leading laboratory programming, space planning, and technical design for complex research environments, from early planning through construction.

You will collaborate with scientists, researchers, and facilities teams to define project requirements, ensure safe, flexible lab layouts, and align with operational needs and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required.
• Minimum 10 years of architectural, laboratory planning, or related experience.
• Strong experience planning complex research and development environments.
• Experience coordinating with scientists, researchers, laboratory managers, facilities teams and senior client leadership.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory programming, space planning, equipment planning, laboratory operations, and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory programming and planning for complex R&D facilities.
• Coordinate laboratory layouts with architectural, structural, and MEP systems; balance operational and sustainability goals.
• Manage laboratory planning from programming through construction administration.
• Build and maintain client relationships; present planning concepts and technical recommendations.
