Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a R&D Sterile Disposables Senior Engineer with a focus on Microbiology and Biocompatibility to support medical device development and validation. You will design and execute microbiological and biocompatibility testing, validate test methods, and ensure alignment with ISO 10993 and USP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in medical device or pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong microbiology lab skills and knowledge of GMP/GxP.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute microbiological, chemical compatibility, and biocompatibility testing.
• Develop and validate test methods.
• Ensure compliance with global standards (ISO 10993, USP).
• Coordinate with external labs.
• Support reprocessing validation, microbial ingress and simulated use testing, and biocompatibility assessments.
• Prepare technical documentation and present findings.
