Job summary

Atom Computing is building quantum computers using arrays of optically trapped neutral atoms. We seek a Senior Technical Program Manager to oversee operation and upgrades of existing systems and to manage a portfolio of research programs accelerating our roadmap.

You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and business leaders to define requirements, plan execution, and monitor scope, schedule, and resources across multiple programs while reporting status and risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong program management experience in deep tech
  • Technical knowledge of quantum computing or willingness to learn AMO physics
  • Proven track record delivering early-stage deep tech programs
  • Experience coordinating across multiple teams and leaders
  • Ability to develop systems, solutions, and products with technical teams

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management for operation and upgrades of neutral atom quantum computing hardware
  • Manage a portfolio of research projects to advance the Atom Computing roadmap
  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and business owners to define requirements and plans
  • Monitor scope, schedule, risks, and resources; escalate optimization needs
  • Drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, and post-implementation phases
  • Define and track key metrics and KPIs; ensure cross-functional execution
  • Develop communication plans to report status, issues, and risks to stakeholders
  • Identify and analyze technical problems with engineering leaders to find solutions
  • Coordinate allocation of the technical team’s time for advanced technology development
  • Support grant applications relating to the project portfolio and partnerships
