Monarch Quantum, Inc. is looking for a Senior Principal Photonics Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Diego, California. This role involves providing technical leadership in designing advanced laser systems for quantum technologies and requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

You’ll work closely with engineers across various disciplines and mentor junior staff while contributing to innovative projects. The expected annual salary for this role is between $165,000 and $200,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing and testing complex photonic or laser-based systems.
• Experience in quantum systems, precision metrology, or related emerging technologies is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and system-level direction on advanced laser systems.
• Define and guide the development of core photonics technologies.
• Lead efforts to achieve ultra-low noise performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence.
