Job summary

Infleqtion is seeking a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to advance quantum RF sensing systems, designing gateware, software and hardware for integrated control of QRF platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition lab prototypes to field-ready systems, implement robust testing, and optimize hardware/software interfaces across FPGA, Rust firmware, and low-level drivers.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in embedded systems, FPGA, or mixed signal design.
• Experience with Rust or C/C++ and FPGA HDL RF synthesis.
• Experience interfacing with hardware (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and gateware for QRF systems.
• Develop control system architectures for quantum sensors.
• Integrate subsystems into quantum systems with verification and debugging.
• Ensure high test coverage using CI pipelines and hardware test beds.
• Create test scripts for subsystem validation.
• Support board bring-up and debugging with feedback to design teams.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and physics teams for integration.
• Enhance usability and reliability for demos and applications.
• Operate and interface with lab test equipment.
• Work with Rust firmware engineers to define architecture and drivers.
