Job summary

Man Group, a leading global investment manager, is seeking a Senior Quantitative Developer to join the Front-office Engineering team. You will collaborate with Quant Researchers and Portfolio Managers to onboard datasets, implement signals, and develop optimization tools in a high-performance Python ecosystem.

The role involves building data visualization frameworks, tuning performance, and working with MongoDB, MS SQL, and a modern data stack on Linux. Boston-area hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience focusing on quantitative applications.
• Expert knowledge of Python and Pandas; proficient with NumPy, SciPy, statsmodels, scikit-learn.
• Experience building mission-critical production systems, with testing, monitoring and deployment practices.
• Proficient on Linux; strong Git skills; familiar with large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new datasets and implement trading signals.
• Develop portfolio optimization tools and data visualization frameworks.
• Enhance research platform and tune performance with efficient numerical algorithms.
• Work with data pipelines and distributed computing technologies to improve throughput.
