Job summary

Union Metal Industries Corp. seeks a Quality Manager to oversee all quality within production. Lead QC team, ensure compliance with AWS D1.1, AASHTO, AISC and ASTM standards.

You will drive quality audits, manage certifications and testing, review procedures, and collaborate with vendors. Must have 10+ years in quality control management and a structural-steel background; CWI preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with quality/industrial focus preferred.
• 10+ years in quality control management required.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1, AASHTO, AISC and ASTM specs.
• Experience with NDE methods VT, MT, UT, RT preferred.
• Welding background and structural-steel experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day quality functions within production.
• Act as QC team leader and drive quality scheduling.
• Lead quality audits with industry standards.
• Manage material certifications and testing programs.
• Oversee welding procedures and welder qualifications.
• Monitor product and procedure deficiencies and report issues.
