Job summary

The Marvin Group is seeking a Quality Inspector III in Southern California to perform dimensional inspections using CAI and CMM tools. You will ensure products meet drawings and contractual requirements, apply GD&T, and communicate findings to engineers.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting aerospace and defense programs, and mentoring junior inspectors in a fast-paced lab environment. U.S. export controls apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years as a dimensional inspector.
• 3+ years operating surface plates and CAI equipment (CMMs, Verisurf) at operator level.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to read drawings.
• Proficient in algebra and trigonometry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; MS Word/Excel.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Team-oriented in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections, validations, and verifications of hardware per drawings and requirements.
• Utilize CAI equipment and CMMs to verify dimensions.
• Apply GD&T principles including angularity, profile, runout, and true position.
• Communicate inspection results to engineers and management.
• Provide guidance to junior inspectors and support source inspections.
• Travel to support Marvin Engineering quality needs.
