Job summary

Avon Technologies plc is seeking a seasoned Quality Inspector to perform complex inspections of materials and products, lead MRB activities, and drive CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires reading blueprints and GD&T, plus strong experience with precision measurement tools and CMMs. You will train technicians, coordinate inspections, and support internal and regulatory audits across global operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 4+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings/specifications, including GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
• Experience supporting non-conformance, MRB, and corrective actions.
• Ability to train others and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex receiving, in-process, and final inspections to drawings and specs.
• Serve as technical contact for inspection methods and criteria.
• Train and mentor Quality Technicians and inspectors; verify inspection results.
• Use advanced measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM) to verify conformance.
• Lead first article inspections, lot acceptance testing, and customer/government inspections.
• Document non-conforming material and support MRB disposition.
• Lead root cause investigations and CAPA activities (5 Why, 8D, Fishbone).
• Analyze quality data and report trends; elevate recurring issues and risks.
• Develop and revise inspection procedures, checklists, and control plans.
• Manage calibration status and support calibration program.
• Support audits and maintain ISO 9001, DCMA, and customer requirements.
• Support NPI, process validation, and engineering changes from a quality perspective.
• Lead or participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement.
• Adhere to safety procedures and promote safety/quality culture.
