The role requires hands-on problem solving, collaboration with management, and travel to supplier facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or in an Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering within a plastics manufacturing/processing environment.
• Experience with statistical software (e.g. MiniTab).
• Solid product and manufacturing process knowledge with potential to lead small teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish quality criteria, plan implementation, and execute quality plans for all products.
• Complete supplier surveys and approvals.
• Implement quality metrics and drive supplier improvements.
• Address production issues related to materials, components, or packaging.
• Travel to supplier facilities to address issues and ensure quality.
• Lead nonconforming material review and corrective actions with suppliers.
