Job summary

Hydrasearch, a US manufacturer of fluid-transfer and control systems, seeks a Senior Quality Control Engineer in Stevensville, MD. This on-site role supports QC, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain in a high-mix environment, focusing on root-cause, corrective actions, and PPAP alignment.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in quality/manufacturing, GD&T, and experience with AS9100/AS9102. Military veterans are encouraged to apply. Sponsorship not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field related to quality/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, drawings, and tolerances.
• Experience with quality systems and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical resource to QC and Manufacturing to resolve complex issues.
• Investigate nonconformances and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Plan and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) per AS9102 and customer requirements.
• Translate drawings and requirements into inspection plans and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and improve inspection methods, plans, and quality documentation.
• Support supplier quality activities including qualification and corrective actions.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to inspectors and collaborate with teams to improve product quality.
• Work on-site between QC, office, and production areas and travel as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Quality Engineering
