Job summary

Sonnax Transmission Company, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks a Quality Engineer to develop and maintain quality standards, work with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement across supplier quality and product development.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in engineering or quality control, with Lean/Six Sigma experience and the ability to read engineering drawings. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years in engineering, process methods, inspection, and/or Quality Control; precision metal fabrication preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma knowledge; certification is a plus.
• Proficient knowledge of GD&T; ability to read/analyze engineering drawings and specifications.
• ASQ certification or formal Quality training preferred.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain quality control standards and objectives; create inspection criteria and procedures.
• Collaborate with Quality and cross-functional teams to support new product development and supplier quality initiatives.
• Identify manufacturability and quality risks early in product planning; apply root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct technical reviews of deviations, metrics, and nonconformances; drive corrective actions.
• Support supplier assessments and collaboration to improve quality systems and delivery performance.
