Job summary

HOERBIGER Automatisierungstechnik Holding GmbH seeks a Senior Quality Engineer I to monitor and improve quality across operations. You will review procedures, analyze root causes, and support ISO 9001:2015 quality systems while ensuring materials, equipment, and processes meet specifications.

Responsibilities include updating work instructions, conducting investigations using 5 Whys/8D, SAP quality controls, and coordinating CofC and MTR testing for customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quality engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent and/or 5-8 years quality experience.
• Experience with ERP.
• Analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Oral Communication - Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions.
• Written Communication - Fluent in product /process analysis, SPC reporting, vendor/customer relations. Presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.

Responsibilities

• Review and update current procedures and work instructions for all departments along with any special processes that would contribute to the quality of a completed part and/or assembly.
• Assist with writing a new procedures/work instruction as needed.
• Identify the root cause and/or corrective action implementation/ effectiveness verification (create training material for operators to eliminate the non-conforming event in the future).
• Assisting with investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues. Use methodologies of problem solving (5 Ways, 8D, root cause analysis, etc.).
• Assisting with developing and implementing quality systems in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
• Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Developing and implementing quality standards of all product line(s) including valve assembly and/or failures that may occur.
• Manage supplier/customer quality through SAP return module
• Support sale order special requests including testing measurement and documentation (CofC, lift test, MTR’s, etc.)
