Job summary

Raycap, Inc. seeks a hands-on Quality Engineer to ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards and safety requirements. You will train employees and work with assemblers, soldering specialists, and test technicians to uphold 100% customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include monitoring quality processes, performing inspections, data analysis, and driving root-cause corrective actions across Raycap facilities and supplier networks.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree required in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
• 5–10 years' experience in a technical field with hands-on quality and manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in quality analysis, data analysis, problem solving, and strategic thinking.
• Expert knowledge of DFx and FMEA.
• Ability to collaborate across Raycap functions.
• Project management skills for complex projects and timelines.
• Six-Sigma, CQE, CQM, CRE, Lean or related certifications are desirable.
• SAP experience is desirable.
• MS Office and statistics software knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read component and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain Raycap quality processes to assure continual 100% customer satisfaction.
• Inspect and test various parts of manufacturing against predefined standards.
• Provide quality tools, methods, and data for defect-free quality internally and at the supplier level.
• Analyze problems reported and develop improvements.
• RMA analysis and NCR resolution internal and external.
• Statistical analysis of manufacturing data and reporting to senior staff.
• Maintain and improve QMS, EMS, TL9000 and OSHA documentation and processes.
• Serve as manufacturing focal point for root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Partner with Supply Chain to develop high-level suppliers of materials.
• Inspect incoming components, raw materials, and in-process assemblies.
