Job summary

AV in California seeks a Quality Engineer (QE) III to own overall product quality and ensure quality controls are met. The QE will engage CI resources to identify and eliminate cost drivers, flow disruptions, and implement visual KPI metrics.

The role establishes effective CAPA systems for containment, correction, and prevention actions and documents non-conformances. The QE will have either Customer Quality or Product Quality responsibilities in addition to general duties, coordinating with QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–8 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of DMAIC, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Gage R&R, lean manufacturing.
• ISO 9001/AS9100 and audits knowledge.
• ASME Y14.5/GD&T understanding.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with Quality Technicians and inspectors.
• Perform training on BMS procedures and provide internal auditing support.
• Drive corrective action and failure analysis in a timely manner.
• Participate in Product Readiness Reviews and coordinate Final Inspection.
• Provide guidance in quality enhancement strategies and workmanship criteria.
• Conduct internal audits of quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
