Job summary

Medtronic in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead post‑market investigations across the Neurovascular portfolio. You will apply design controls, risk management, and data analytics to characterize device performance, investigate field failures, determine root cause, and recommend containment and improvements with R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Operations.

This on‑site role is four days per week with one remote day optional; you will partner with diverse teams to drive

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree OR 2+ years with a Masters OR 0+ years with a Ph.D.
• Strong statistical data analysis skills with ability to analyze complex data sets.
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering evaluations of post‑market complaints and product performance signals.
• Plan and lead complex technical investigations using engineering problem‑solving methods and data.
• Develop root cause and failure‑mechanism conclusions with clear evaluation of evidence.
• Define containment, product controls, corrective actions, and design or process improvements with cross‑functional teams.
• Apply design control and risk management throughout the product lifecycle.
• Review and develop engineering test strategies, protocols, methods, and reports.
