RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for a metals manufacturing setting. The role drives QMS improvements, leads internal and supplier audits, and mentors auditors to strengthen quality performance.

The candidate will apply FMEA, control plans, Six Sigma, and lean methodologies to reduce defects and enable continuous improvement across operations, engineering, and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years in quality engineering in manufacturing.
• Strong experience with QMS, internal auditing, supplier quality, and corrective action management.
• Significant experience leading structured problem solving (8D, RCA).
• Knowledge of FMEA and Control Plans.
• Six Sigma Black Belt; ISO 9001/AS9100 familiarity.
• ASQ certification preferred; able to train and lead auditors.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Lead audits of internal processes and suppliers; document nonconformances and drive corrective actions.
• Act as Lead Auditor; provide training to internal auditors.
• Manage Corrective Action Requests and verify effectiveness.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving using 8D, RCA, and corrective actions.
• Support supplier quality programs including audits and inspections.
• Interface with customers and third-party auditors on quality requirements.
