Rocket Lab Corporation in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer I to ensure products meet quality requirements across the lifecycle. You will develop inspection methods, verify conformance to AS9100, and lead root cause analysis for nonconformances in a production environment.

The role requires 5+ years in quality engineering within manufacturing, strong data skills (Power BI/Power Apps), and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with a Quality Management System; AS9100 experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with NCRs, CAPA, MRB/FRB, ESD, and FOD controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Experience analyzing quality data and presenting metrics using Power BI/Power Apps/Excel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute inspection methods to verify product quality.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and AS9100 standards.
• Investigate nonconformances and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Generate and close NCRs, CAPA, MRB/FRB activities; support audits.
• Provide quality training to production and engineering teams.
