Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to lead CAPA investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions across quality programs. The role collaborates with quality, engineering and manufacturing to ensure robust processes and compliance in a fast-paced medical devices environment.

The position requires on-site presence, with work three days per week at Northridge or San Diego, CA. A strong medical device or pharmaceutical background and CAPA expertise are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and 7+ years in medical device/pharma.
• 3+ years CAPA experience.
• Strong collaboration across quality, engineering and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and maintenance of quality programs and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering and manufacturing to enable cross-functional root-cause investigations.
• Ensure corrective actions meet reliability standards and documentation meets requirements.
• Prepare reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Maintain and update QA programs and policies.
• Specialize in design, production control, product evaluation/reliability as needed.
