Danfoss is seeking a Quality Engineer in Shawnee, OK, to supervise the quality assurance team and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role involves utilizing advanced technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, training personnel, and maintaining rigorous documentation according to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have significant experience in quality assurance within hydraulic environments. Our company promotes a culture of safety and accountability.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the quality assurance team, ensuring adherence to company standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations.
Apply advanced technical knowledge of hydraulic motors and systems to evaluate product performance, identify nonconformities, and lead corrective actions.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for recurring or high-impact quality issues.
Monitor and analyze production processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to ensure product reliability and reduce scrap, rework, and warranty claims.
Ensure proper application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in design and inspection activities.
Oversee and ensure proper use of specialized measurement and inspection devices such as CMM, Vision Systems, and metallurgical testing equipment.
Maintain accurate and complete quality documentation, including inspection records, test data, and audit reports, in compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Train, mentor, and develop quality inspectors, engineers, and production personnel on quality standards, SPC, GD&T, inspection techniques, and hydraulic-specific processes.
Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the quality department.
