Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Tennessee is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality across products and processes from concept to delivery. You will lead initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable improvements that enhance customer satisfaction.

You will work at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, using Lean, Six Sigma, and data analytics to identify trends, prevent issues, and build sustainable quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing or assembly.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; IATF experience a plus.
• Proficiency with root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, and control plans.
• CQE or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of quality management systems aligned with ISO standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance and improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate quality across the product lifecycle.
• Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and proactively address risks.
• Support new product introduction with strong quality planning.
• Lead training initiatives to strengthen quality awareness and capability.
• Investigate customer concerns and deliver timely, effective resolutions.

Your Background

• Certification in CQE or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) preferred
