Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC in Aiken, SC, seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to support a multi-year civil, mechanical, and electrical construction project at the Savannah River Site. You will lead the QA program, ensure compliance with the QMS, ASME NQA-1, and DOE 414.1D, and coordinate QA activities with client representatives and project teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and at least 10 years of QA/QM experience on regulated projects,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 10 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Management experience on regulated projects (industrial, DOE, or nuclear).
  • Experience implementing ASME NQA-1 requirements and DOE Order 414.1D.
  • Experience with a formal QA program or QMS.
  • Experience with audits, surveillances, nonconformance, corrective action, and quality records.
  • Ability to interpret and implement quality requirements, procedures, codes, standards, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation and oversight of the project QA program in accordance with QMS, ASME NQA-1, DOE 414.1D, contract requirements, and project procedures.
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to QA personnel supporting construction, corrective action, document control, procurement quality, supplier quality, and other QA functions.
  • Ensure project quality procedures, processes, and controls are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Plan and oversee internal audits, surveillances, assessments, and QA oversight activities.
  • Support client, DOE, and external audits, including preparation, coordination, response, and resolution of findings.
  • Evaluate project activities for compliance with procedures, quality requirements, codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee nonconformance, CARs, CAQs, SCAQs; ensure timely resolution.
  • Review quality trends and metrics to identify adverse trends and necessary management action.
  • Develop, review, revise, and implement project quality procedures and documents.
  • Ensure qualification and indoctrination of personnel performing quality-affecting activities.
  • Oversee document control and quality records; ensure retrievability and auditable evidence.
  • Oversee procurement and supplier quality activities, including qualification and source surveillance.
  • Coordinate quality matters with project teams and stakeholders; prepare quality metrics for management review.
  • Escalate significant quality issues and adverse trends per project requirements.
