Quality Manager, Data Center Construction

About the Opportunity:

A rapidly growing data center developer is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join its expanding construction team in Nevada or Texas.

The company has 10GW+ of secured data center capacity and a significant development pipeline across the United States. This is an opportunity to join the organization during a major period of growth and play a key role in establishing and maintaining quality standards across a large-scale data center campus.

You will work closely with the project leadership team, General Contractors, trade partners, consultants, and internal engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the QA/QC program for large-scale data center construction projects.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain quality processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Work closely with General Contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Review and approve quality plans, inspection and test plans, method statements, and other quality documentation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality reviews.
  • Identify quality issues, develop corrective action plans, and drive resolution through project completion.
  • Monitor quality performance and provide regular reporting to senior project leadership.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, and project management teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in contractor and subcontractor selection, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of company-wide quality standards and processes.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation, records, and closeout requirements are maintained.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams on quality-related matters.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in construction quality management, QA/QC, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience working on data center, mission critical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or other highly complex construction projects.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor, major subcontractor, owner's representative, or developer.
  • Strong understanding of construction quality processes, inspections, testing, documentation, and commissioning requirements.
  • Experience managing QA/QC programs on large-scale construction projects.
  • Ability to work effectively with General Contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working on hyperscale or large-scale data center projects.
  • Experience developing and implementing QA/QC processes at an organizational level.
  • Experience with construction management and quality platforms such as Procore.
