Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Senior Mission Assurance Manager to lead the Mission Assurance organization for an aerospace program delivering satellites, spacecraft and airborne platforms. You will shape processes, mentor teams and ensure hardware meets quality, reliability and customer requirements throughout development, manufacturing and delivery.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in mission assurance, quality or reliability within aerospace, defense or space.
• DoD program experience.
• 5+ years of management leading technical teams with government customers.
• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Expert knowledge of AS9100 and applicable DoD requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Mission Assurance team, setting objectives and ensuring the right people, tools and processes are in place.
• Establish and execute mission assurance plans aligned with quality management, customer requirements and industry standards.
• Lead assurance activities for design reviews, process qualification reviews, configuration audits and hardware acceptance reviews.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external audits, supporting AS9100 and DoD compliance.
• Facilitate FMECA, root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Lead MRB and FRB, presenting findings to customers.
• Partner with supply chain on supplier quality strategy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Work across engineering, manufacturing and program management to improve processes and product quality.

EVONA is recruiting a Senior Mission Assurance Manager for an aerospace company developing advanced communications electronics for satellites, spacecraft and airborne platforms.

This opportunity suits an experienced quality or mission assurance leader who enjoys developing teams, shaping processes and working directly with engineering and government customers. You will lead the Mission Assurance organization, ensuring hardware meets quality, reliability and customer requirements throughout development, manufacturing and delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop the Mission Assurance team, setting objectives and ensuring the right people, tools and processes are in place.
• Establish and execute mission assurance plans aligned with the company’s quality management system, customer requirements and industry standards.
• Lead assurance activities for design reviews, process qualification reviews, configuration audits and hardware acceptance reviews.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits, supporting compliance with AS9100 and applicable DoD requirements.
• Facilitate Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Lead Material Review Boards (MRB) and Failure Review Boards (FRB), including presenting findings and dispositions to customers.
• Partner with supply chain teams on supplier quality strategy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Work across engineering, manufacturing and program management to improve processes and product quality.

What we're looking for

• At least 15 years of experience in mission assurance, quality or reliability engineering within aerospace, defense or space.
• Direct experience supporting a complex DoD program.
• At least 5 years of management experience leading technical teams and interfacing with government customers.
• A bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Expert knowledge of AS9100 and applicable DoD requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Experience operating independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, a U.S. security clearance.

Compensation and location

The base salary range is $139,500-$192,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance is available. This position requires full-time, on-site work in Westminster, Colorado.
