Job summary

System One, Inc. invites a Senior Quality Assurance Manager to join our onsite team in Aiken, South Carolina on a contract basis.

You will lead and mentor Quality Managers and Engineers, oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development, manage workloads and performance, and report measurable quality metrics to executives. Ensure compliance with codes, certifications, and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical field.
• 10-15 years of progressive quality management experience supervising large-scale projects.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% to various locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage Quality Managers, Quality Engineers, and staff.

• Travel to regional offices, client sites, and suppliers to support execution.

• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development of the quality team.
• Manage workload distribution, performance appraisals, conflict resolution, and employee recognition in alignment with company policies and legal regulations.
• Establish, track, and report measurable quality metrics and goals to executive leadership.
• Capture and analyze institutional lessons learned to integrate into company-wide best practices.
• Maintain and safeguard corporate code compliance and formal certification programs.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and code requirements for internal teams and contractors.
• Ensure all active personnel possess necessary quality plans, procedures, and certifications.
• Conduct regular jobsite audits to verify compliance with corporate policies and project guidelines.
• Travel to regional offices, client sites, subcontractors, and suppliers to support project execution and oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related technical field.
• 10-15 years of progressive quality management experience, specifically overseeing large-scale, complex projects. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% to various corporate, subsidiary, and project locations.
