Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Senior Chemist for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company to support QC analytics, test methods, and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on ensuring quality and release of materials and finished products in a GMP/GLP environment.

Based in Deerfield Beach, FL, this contract-to-hire position runs 8:30 am to 5:00 pm onsite. Candidates should have 5+ years in QC with GC/FTIR/TOC/UV-Vis experience and a strong grasp of FDA regulations and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Microbiology, or related field.
• 5+ years in Quality Control in pharma.
• Hands-on with GC, FTIR, TOC, UV-Vis, etc.
• Experience supporting sterile injectable manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, GLP, FDA regs, USP, ICH, and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Develop/maintain specifications, test methods, SOPs, and lab docs.
• Conduct method validations, transfers, and suitability studies.
• Investigate OOS/OOT and support deviations, CAPAs, changes, and risk assessments.
• Review data and approve COAs.
• Manage lab equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenance.
• Support audits and maintain inspection readiness.
• Ensure data integrity and GMP/GLP compliance.
