Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions in Lexington, KY is hiring a Chemist II to perform complex QC testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products, and to calibrate and maintain analytical instruments in compliance with cGMP standards.

Requires a BS in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science and at least 5 years of hands-on QC experience with HPLC/GC analysis; strong attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to train entry-level staff.

Qualifications

BS in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Science required.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on QC experience.
Proficiency in HPLC/GC analysis and related instruments.
Experience with GMP regulations and lab documentation.

Responsibilities

Perform routine/non-routine testing according to SOPs (USP/EP/JP) with minimal supervision.
Test raw materials, APIs, finished products, stability samples, and cleaning verification.
Proficient in HPLC/GC analysis and instrument calibration.
Document laboratory work according to GDP, cGMPs, and SOPs.
Initiate and resolve laboratory investigations.
Train and guide entry-level QC personnel.
Perform peer review of analytical documentation.
Follow safety procedures in the laboratory.
Maintain a neat and organized laboratory.
Purchase of laboratory reagents and consumables.
