Job summary

American Regent, Inc. is seeking a QC Chemist IV to perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished product samples to determine identity, potency and purity in our QC laboratories.

You will operate instruments such as HPLC, GC, AA, UV-VIS, ICP and KF titrators; maintain GMP documentation; train chemists; and lead validations and technology transfers to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in chemistry or related science with required pharmaceutical lab experience.
• Strong background in analytical instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques.
• Proficient with analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, AA, UV-VIS, ICP.
• Must read documents in Standard English such as SOPs, maintenance schedules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments including pH meter, balances, autotitrator, HPLC/GC, AA/ICP, UV-VIS, osmometer and polarograph.
• Perform testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished product samples.
• Maintain GMP documentation of all activities.
• Train and provide technical assistance to chemists as necessary.
• Write IQ/OQ and PQ protocols for analytical instrumentation and support tech transfers.
• Review laboratory notebooks and data packets; assist supervisor as needed.
• Perform other tasks/duties as assigned by management.
