Job summary

Viatris is seeking a Senior Chemist for the 1st shift to advance analytical methods and ensure data quality in a GMP environment. You will perform instrumental analyses, review results, and support calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of key instruments.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science and 2+ years as a chemist, or 4+ years with broader experience, with hands-on knowledge of HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, and pH meters, plus strong problem-solving and training abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree; 2 years chemist experience (or 4 years with broader experience)
• Knowledge of various laboratory instrumentation (HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, pH meters, etc.)
• Ability to solve problems using structured procedures and analysis

Responsibilities

• Perform general instrumental analysis.
• Calculate, check, and review analytical data.
• Support method development, validation and transfer via protocols and reports.
• Perform/oversee instrument calibrations and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot analytical methods and equipment.
• Provide training in analytical procedures and techniques.
• Complete analytical projects with limited supervision.
• Develop and implement methods for automation of QC methods.
